Philosophy for a United Earth

Professor Joseph Agassi of Tel Aviv University gave a talk on the Philosophy for a United Earth this morning. While I'm not sure if I would buy into the argument for a global institution I did appreciate his comments on if only... Think back to the last time you said If only, it is an escape clause, something one says when one expects failure. I hadn't really considered this before.
